Samarius
Precision Instruments, Inc. a Connecticut corporation now located
at 346 Quinnipiac St. Wallingford at a 8,000 square foot facility.
Specializing in the manufacture of precision wirewound potentiometers.
In addition to its's manufacturing design for manufacture services
to it's client companies. This has resulted in Samarius being the
sole source of potentiometers to a small but significant number
of growing companies.
In
the early 1960's, Samarius Wernick started an electronics company
called Samarius Electronics. Shortly thereafter, Samarius acquired
the potentiometer line from New York based company called DeJur
Amsco. Samarius Electronics was now called Samarius Inc.
Samarius,
Inc. again expanded in 1978 by purchasing Ace Electronics. This
added to the customer base and also gave Samarius more government
specifications on which Samarius is now listed as a source of supply.
In
1987, George Sabo acquired Samarius, Inc., changing its name to
Samarius Precision Instruments, Inc. The current management of the
company combines over one hundred years of industry experience in
the areas of business, finance and manufacturing production.
The company has maintained a unique niche in the potentiometer market
by utilizing the finest component materials resulting in the highest
reliability obtainable, and the maintenance of a highly skilled
work force capable of high ramp acquisition of new techniques and
emerging industry requirements.
Samarius, Inc. furnish their clients with a custom winding service
or wire wound potentiometer elements in card and mandrel types.
Linear or functional requirements are achieved through cooperative
R & D with customers. Card profiles are ground with exact duplication
from master templates on our own engineered and built machines to
tolerances to meet all specifications.
We can supply card windings for 1/4" miniature
potentiometers to cards 12 feet long and 4 inches wide. Mandrel
windings are available up to 16 feet on in any type of wire needed
